Hello and happy back to work day for me, Friends and Fellow Bakers! This German Christmas Bread, like most of the others, is filled with liquor-soaker dried fruit (apricots, currants, cherries, and cranberry) and almonds.
The shape of the stollen is meant to evoke the swaddling blanket of the baby Jesus. I’m not sure I got it quite how I wanted. There should be a line of fruit running through the middle (ish) but mine all seems to look fully incorporated. Win some, lose some.
