Why hello there Friends and Fellow Bakers! Here we have another bread that has nothing to do with Christmas: Vienna bread!
I made Vienna bread the first time in high school and I remembered liking it, so I added it to this little Christmas project because WHY NOT.
Vienna bread is a fairly basic sandwich bread, but it is fluffy and satisfying. A perfect bun for a nice hot sandwich any day of the week. This version from the bread baker’s apprentice includes a day of pre fermentation which adds flavour and shelf life. This bread is a good one to have in the repertoire for daily meals.
